Samba

Rumba
Known as the ‘dance of love’ and probably the most erotic of the Latin dances. It tells a story of lovers and the wonder of a whirlwind romance. Danced with a slower tempo of music and has a characteristic strong hip action. It is another popular choice for couples choosing their First Wedding Dance.
Paso-Doble
This is mainly used as a competition and exhibition dance but can look good in a social dance setting. It depicts a Spanish bullfight - the male depicts the Matador with all the pride and strength, the lady depicts his cape with strong but fluid and beautiful motions.
Jive
Originating from the American Swing and Hip-Hop, this is a very fast dance that is lively, energetic and fun. It can also be danced to slower Jive music, which is also appealing to some. High energy with lots of flicks, kicks and spins. The speed and complexity means it is a challenging dance but great for improving fitness and stamina.
Salsa and Mambo
Salsa dancing is a dance style associated with the salsa style of music now popular worldwide. Salsa&Mambo dancing are mostly stationary dances, with little movement around the dance floor. The Mambo and Salsa are flirtatious, sensual dances, sometimes almost raunchy. Dancers express that passion with the movements of their hips. Expect lots of “snake hips” from these dance styles!
