Latin-American

The Latin dances consist of Cha Cha Cha, Samba, Rumba, Paso-Doble, Jive, Salsa and Mambo. These are danced in and out of frame, with a partner and can be enjoyed both socially and competitively. Ballroom dancing has a lot of discipline involved but gives you more freedom than the Ballroom dances. The dances are high energy, sexy and seductive. You’ll love Latin if you love that party vibe and shaking your hips!!

FAQ’s

I have never danced before… Can I still come for lessons?!

Of course! At DanceZone we teach all ages and abilities from the very Beginners to Championship Competitive dancers. Please don’t be nervous about your so-called two left feet – that’s why we’re here to help and our teachers have a wealth of knowledge, experience and understanding.

Do I need a partner?

No! If you come along to a class or a private lesson you will either be paired with another dancer in the class, or with the teacher or teaching assistants.

What clothes do I need to wear?

Please wear whatever you feel most comfortable in. Clothes that allow free and easy movement are recommended.

What shoes do I need to wear?

We recommend that you wear a shoe with a suede or leather sole. Trainers or rubber soled shoes are not advised as these do not allow for ease of movement around the floor. Ladies are welcome to wear heels (not too high!) or flat shoes – whatever you feel more comfortable in.
